Ashwood College Soccer Planning Study

As part of State Government funding commitments, Stratcorp Consulting was commissioned to prepare a report on the possibility of establishing a women's Premier League facility at Ashwood College in High St, Ashwood.

The recently released report recommends the establishment of a women's soccer facility at this site and indicates that the State Government funding commitment of $350,000 would be sufficient to establish training lighting, an upgrade to the playing fields' drainage and installation of irrigation systems. The report also canvasses the possibility of additional works to the facility in the future, however there is no Government commitment to funding for these works.

To assist the Government progress this initiative, the City of Monash has agreed to manage the project on the Government's behalf . The City of Monash will establish a project coordination group, with involvement of State Government and the College, to oversee the establishment of the women's Premier League soccer facility and work with existing user groups to facilitate future requirements.
