Walking - Explanation of Terms

Level of Difficulty
  • Easy - Suitable for all ages and fitness levels; Walking Trails are generally flat on sealed or well-established paths.
  • Medium - Suitable for people with average fitness; some steep hills, unmade and sometimes muddy trails.
  • Difficult - Suitable for very fit people. Mostly longer walks, with steep hills and sometimes muddy trails.
Disability Access
  • Easy - Mainly sealed or well kept trails, generally flat terrain, minimal road crossings.
  • Medium - Some uneven and unmade surfaces, medium - steep hills, several road crossings.
  • Difficult - Terrain is not suitable for wheelchairs /walking aids etc, due to very rough surfaces and steep hills.
Time Measurement
  • 1 km = 15 minutes
