Foreward by the Mayor
I am pleased to present the Monash Disability Access and Inclusion Framework and Action Plan 2009-2013.
The Framework is in line with Council's commitment to an inclusive and connected community and will guide Council in addressing physical, communication and attitudinal barriers that prevent people with a disability, their families and carers in experiencing a rich and rewarding quality of life.
Council is committed to and is uniquely placed to have a positive impact on the quality of life for people with a disability in our community. The Disability Access and Inclusion Framework provides the framework to enable Council to fulfil its commitment to Access and Equity and meet its responsibilities to people with a disability.
