Inclusion Support Agency Brochure - REGION 5 (East Middle Melbourne)
Providing support to Australian Government approved children's services within the Cities of Boroondara, Manningham, Monash and Whitehorse. ISA Region 5 is an initiative of the Inclusion and Professional Support Program, funded by the Australian Government.
Supporting inclusive practice in early childhood and middle childhood services.
ISFs will assist to build the capacity of child care services to create an inclusive environment for all children.
Inclusion Support Agency (ISA)
The ISA is available to support:- Family Day Care
- Long Day Care
- Occasional Care
- Outside School Hours Care
- Vacation Care
- In-home Care
- Non-mainstream services including Multifunctional Aboriginal Children's Services and mobile services
Child care staff are supported by Inclusion Support Facilitators (ISFs) from this agency.
ISFs are located within each municipality and are employed to support child care staff to include children from the identified priority groups:
- Children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, including refugee children
- South Sea Islander Children
- Children with ongoing high support needs including children with a disability
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children
The ISFs offer the following support to child care services:
- Facilitate active participation of all children
- Direct support and consultation around inclusive practices
- Program planning
- Establishment of Assisted Inclusion Readiness Plans (AIR Plans)
- Service Support Plans (SSP)
- Assisting child care staff to identify their training needs
- Assisting services to link with relevant community groups, services and organisations
- Access to funding through the Inclusion Support Subsidy (ISS) or Flexible Support Funding (FSF)
