Positive Ageing Lifestyle Program - Spring 2008

Spring Into Life

September, October and November 2008

Who can believe that Spring is in the air once again! Time certainly does fly when you are having fun - so they say... We'll I must be having plenty of fun as I can't seem to recall where this year has gone.

Any how, on with business... The 'Spring into Life' PALS program is once again promoting a healthy; active, independent life style. This program offers a range of different activities that you are invited and encouraged to be a part of.

The Clayton by Bus day trip on the 18th June was such a wonderful adventure that in Spring into Life we are making our way to St Kilda on the Public Bus network. With the warmer wether on it's way there's no better way to enjoy it but to get out and experience it.

I hope you are all keeping well. Please feel free to contact me at any time (during business hrs) with any ideas and/or concerns about issues relating to you and Positive Ageing.

Take care, and see you soon.

Sallenna Moutis
Positive Ageing
Community Development Officer

Reminder – Please remember to use appropriate telephone etiquette when speaking to Council staff. PALS is a large program organised with limited resources.
Please keep this in mind at all times.

Winter Reflections...

Winter Review

What fun we had throughout the Winter Program.

Thank you to everyone who participated in one of more of the Winter Warming activities. From the Film 'Casablanca' at the Clayton Theatrette, how good were the Souvlaki!

Clayton by Bus was an extraordinary day with 40 of you catching the public bus into Clayton.

The State Trustees presentation caught you by surprise as we also launched the PALS 'Positive Ageing Lifestyles' Program and the ongoing partnership with the State Trustees.

Songs From Home was an inspirational event... singing along with all of you was my highlight and 'Mamma Mia'... what a turn out for the Village Cinema Film Session, 230 of you!

This will be a hard act to follow, but I'm always up for the challenge!

Cheers,
Sallenna
