Positive Ageing Lifestyle Program - Summer 2008-09
Volunteers - PALS Needs You!
Thank you to all the individuals who have now registered with the Monash Volunteer Resource Centre to become PALS pals.
Some of you have already helped out during the Seniors Week Festival and your assistance has made a noticable difference. In the coming month we will organise a time to come together and run through some official Volunteer training. Time has been a contributing factor to this not occuring earlier.
If any one would like to become a PALS Pal and assist with the program please call the Monash Volunteer Resource Centre and
register to be a PALS Pal.
Once you are registered you will be an official pals volunteer and can be called in to assist with some of the activities in each PALS program. Times and dates will vary and duties will include, however not limited to:
- PALS mail out
- Ticking off names at the registration table
- Handing out name lables
- Serving tea and coffee
- Serving food at some activities
- Assisting with set up/tidying up after an activity
