Staff selection at the City of Monash is carried out as a fair, consistent and objective process to ensure that the best available staff are appointed to meet the needs of each position.

Principles of merit and equal opportunity underline the selection process.

Advertised positions are available only to Australian citizens or people with permanent residency status, or legally entitled to work in Australia.

It is anticipated that the whole selection process should be completed within four weeks of the closing date of the position.

Interviews should be held within two weeks of the closing date and the remaining process leading to appointment and advice to unsuccessful applicants finalised within two weeks.
