Council Projects

Valley Reserve Playspace

Council regularly upgrades local facilities (including bike paths, playspaces and sporting pavilions) and leads several community projects.

Capital Works

These works are funded by Council, with State and/or Federal Governments sometimes also providing funding.

In 2019/20, Council will embark on one of its its biggest capital works program, boosting community infrastructure by spending $64 million on its capital works program including significant upgrades to core services such as drainage, footpaths, and roads. These works include the $24.4 million redevelopment of the Oakleigh Recreation Centre, one of the biggest projects undertaken by Council.

Here are some local infrastructure projects: some are recently completed, others are just being started.
