Kingsway improvement works

Council is undertaking works in Kingsway Glen Waverley to refresh this shopping and dining precinct during December 2018 and January 2019.

Work has begun on a thorough cleaning of the footpaths and laneways in the precinct. These works are being undertaken at night and early morning to ensure traders and visitors to the area are not affected by the works.

Council's Horticulture team have undertaken some planting of the six garden beds along the shopping strip to bring some colour and freshen up the beds. The plants are a mix of exotics and natives that are easy to care for and low spreading. All garden beds have also been mulched.

We will be upgrading lighting in the Central car park and adding additional lights at the entrance to the Euneva car park. The new lighting will be LED which provides a brighter light.

The works will include painting light poles in a charcoal grey throughout the strip and refreshing painting on bollards and other infrastructure.

Council is also repairing and replacing all Council-owned trader mobile garbage bins.

Information has also been provided to traders about disposal of rubbish and ensuring areas behind businesses are kept clean and tidy.
