Upgrades to Hanover Street car park

Council will begin asphalt resurfacing and concrete works at the Hanover Street car park in Oakleigh on Monday 1 May 2017. This $70,000 project will improve traffic movement and usability.

The upgrade involves the re-instatement of kerb and channel, asphalt resurfacing, refurbishment of garden beds and tree surrounds, and new pavement marking.

There will be some minor traffic disruptions until the works are completed, which is expected to be in early June 2017.

Work hours will generally be between 7am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. Pavement marking works will occur overnight between 7pm and 5am.

People will be able to access their properties during the works, however some minor traffic delays are expected to occur. Vehicle access in some sections of the car park will be limited during concrete works, landscaping and pavement marking. The car park will be completely closed during asphalt repair works, which is expected to take two days.

Traffic management will be in place to slow and guide vehicles and pedestrians past the work site. Every effort will be made to limit disruption during the works.
