Monash Disability Advisory Committee 2018 Nomination

Nominations closed 04 April 2018

Nominations were invited from community members who are living in Monash or representing a community agency servicing people with disabilities to fill thirteen (13) vacancies on the Monash Disability Advisory Committee (DAC).

Applications closed: 5pm, Wednesday 4 April 2018.

The Monash Disability Advisory Committee advises Council on service provision and local issues relating to the needs of people with a disability and their carers and families. The Committee also provides advice on the implementation and monitoring of Council’s A Healthy and Resilient Monash: Integrated Plan 2017-2021.

The Disability Advisory Committee meets every two months in the evening for two hours.  Meetings are held at the Monash Civic Centre, 293 Springvale Road, Glen Waverley.

A community representative must be someone who resides, works, or studies in the City of Monash.

Council invited nominations from people:

  • living with a disability
  • carers or family members of a person living with a disability, and
  • persons interested in and able to represent the views of other Monash residents living with a disability.

Every effort will be made to ensure committee members represent the various groups and issues of people with a disability, their families and carers living in Monash.
