The study area for this structure plan includes the retail and commercial areas, the train station, nearby community uses, and residential land generally within 400m of the retail area.

Stage 1 – May 2019 (complete)
Council sought initial community feedback on the future of the Mount Waverley Activity Centre during May 2019 as outlined in a Discussion Paper (pdf, 2MB) .
Your feedback has helped inform the development of the draft Structure Plan.
Structure plans provide a long term strategic vision for a centre to guide future development, land uses, open space areas, infrastructure and connectivity.
A Discussion Paper has been prepared and this document outlines some of the key challenges and opportunities for the future of the centre.
The consultation was based around this discussion paper and feedback developed as part of this initial consultation process will be used to inform a draft Structure Plan.
Council sought community feedback on the future of the Mount Waverley Activity Centre until Friday 31 May 2019.
The Discussion Paper outlines five groups of key opportunities for the Activity Centre:
- Strengthen the economic viability
- Provide a diversity of housing options
- Support the health and wellbeing of the local community
- Create more places for people to gather
- Create streets for people
