Council has received a new Development Plan proposal for 1 Beryl Avenue (also known as 52 Golf Road), Oakleigh South following the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal's (VCAT) decision to not support a previous proposal.
Council is seeking community feedback on the proposed development plan for a medium density townhouse development comprising of 86 dwellings ranging in height from 2-3 storeys at 1 Beryl Avenue (also known as 52 Golf Road) Oakleigh South.
Feedback is formally sought by Friday 31 July 2020. However Council will continue to accept submissions on this proposal up until it makes a decision.
The applicant, Golf Road Project Development Pty Ltd, proposes a Development Plan that includes:
- 20 two bedroom townhouses.
- 24 three bedroom townhouses.
- 42 four bedroom townhouses.
- Retention of 9 trees.
- Removal of 46 trees.
- Communal open space area located in the centre of the site where one existing mature tree will be retained.
- Vehicle access via Golf Road.
- Predominantly double storey dwellings with some three storey dwellings located in the middle of the site.
In line with Stage 3 'Stay at Home' COVID-19 restrictions on gatherings, Council will hold an online public information session.

Online public information session
In line with Stage 3 'Stay at Home' COVID-19 restrictions, Council is holding an online public information session due to restrictions on gatherings.
This information session will provide an opportunity for Council officers to answer your questions about the proposed Development Plan, without needing to leave your home. Similar to a normal drop in session, there will be no formal presentation at this session.

How to provide feedback
Any person who may be affected by the proposal may lodge an objection or provide feedback to Council. Objections must be made in writing.
Objections should detail any concerns you have regarding the proposal, reasons for the objection, how you would be affected by the proposal and include your name, postal address and reference to TP/441.
