Monash Council has prepared Amendment C124 to the Monash Planning Scheme.
The land affected by the Amendment is VicTrack-owned land to the rear of 35-43 Woonah Street, Chadstone and the rear part of 2/31 Woonah Street, Chadstone.
The Amendment proposes to rezone part of the former railway reserve to the rear of 35-43 Woonah Street, Chadstone and the rear part of 2/31 Woonah Street, Chadstone from Public Use Zone 4 (PUZ4) to General Residential Zone 2 (GRZ2). VicTrack have determined that the land is no longer required.
People may inspect the Amendment, any documents that support the Amendment and the Explanatory Report about the Amendment, free of charge, at the following locations:
Any person who may be affected by the Amendment may make a submission to Monash Council. Submissions must be made in writing, giving the submitter's name and contact address, clearly stating the grounds on which the Amendment is supported or opposed, and indicating what changes (if any) the submitter wishes to make.
Every submitter must provide their name and contact details so Council can consider their submission and notify them of the opportunity to attend Council meetings and any public hearing held to consider submissions. In accordance with the Planning and Environment Act 1987, Council must make available for public inspection a copy of any submissions made.
The closing date for submissions is Monday 27 April 2015.
