A new playspace has opened in Reg Harris Reserve. This will provide a more interesting and fun environment for local families.
The new playspace has traditional play equipment items such as swings, rockers, slides, monkey bars and a spinner.
There are rock climbing panels on the timber multi-play unit and natural play elements that encourage imaginative play. For older children, there is a basketball half-court.
Before undertaking the playspace upgrade, Council sought ideas from the local community about what they would like to see included. Some of the community's ideas have been incorporated into the final design. Thank you to local residents who provided ideas to help Council create this modern playspace.
Shade will be provided by a new shade sail over the main playspace as well as new and existing trees. A drinking fountain - with outlets for people and for dogs - has been installed in the park, as has a dog poo bag dispenser.
