Works to upgrade the playspace in Capital Reserve, Glen Waverley began in early November 2020, with an anticipated completion in December 2020.
Site fencing will be placed around the works area and access to the playground will be restricted throughout the works. We apologise for this inconvenience, but look forward to opening up a new and improved facility as soon as possible.
Please view the updated concept plan below, which includes suggestions from the local community.
Final concept plan Capital Reserve, Glen Waverley (pdf, 3MB)
Please note: The above design is a concept only. Whilst we believe that the construction of this playspace will be largely consistent with what is shown, this design is indicative rather than a precise specification.
Play features for this neighbourhood playspace will include:
- Timber play fort tower
- Red dragon coloured path
- Swing set including basket swing
- Pod spinner
- Nature play trail.
Other elements of the project will include:
- Accessible path to carpark
- Bench seating.
In 2018, Council sought ideas and feedback from the local community for a new playspace in Capital Reserve, Glen Waverley.
We incorporated some of the community’s ideas into an exciting draft concept plan which we sought feedback on until Friday 6 March 2020.
