Upgrade to Evelyn Street (Clayton) playspace

Feedback sought by 28 February 2019

The Evelyn Street Reserve upgrade is complete and the playspace is now open for fun and adventure.

The upgrade was eagerly anticipated by locals who were keen to see the old and tired playspace renewed with exciting and relevant play pieces. New items include senior and junior ‘ant structures’, educational play panels, nature play, swing set with expression and basket swings, play tables and park furniture

Thank you to local residents who provided ideas and feedback to help Council create this exciting playspace in Clayton.

Key play elements include:

  • Senior 'ant' adventure play unit
  • Junior 'ant' adventure play unit
  • Rocker and play car
  • Play table and play panels
  • Swing set with basket swing and expression swing
  • Nature play.

Other elements of the project will include:

  • Picnic table
  • Bench seating
  • Planting more trees and garden beds.

We hope you will enjoy this improvement to your local neighbourhood. If you have any questions about these works, please contact Council:

In 2018, Council sought ideas and feedback from the local community for an upgraded playspace in the reserve at Evelyn Street, Clayton. We incorporated some of the community’s ideas into an exciting draft concept plan which we sought feedback on until Thursday 28 February 2019.
