Works to create a new playspace at Murumba Drive Reserve are expected to begin in late February and be completed by April 2018.
Thank you to local residents who provided ideas and feedback to help Council create a modern, fun playspace.
The existing playspace at Murumba Drive Reserve has reached the end of its safe, useful life, so that is why we are creating an upgraded playspace.
We incorporated some of the community ideas into a draft concept plan which we sought community feedback on in early 2017. Feedback was due by Friday 10 March 2017.

The key play elements to be installed are:

- Play fort with junior slide
- Climbing cube
- Basket swing for children of all abilities and group play
- Rock scramble
- Log balance steppers
- Carved timber log.
The existing ball court will be retained. Other elements of the project will include:
- Installing a connective concrete pathway
- Planting more trees and other vegetation
- Installing a picnic table and bench seating
- Re-installation of the existing monkey bars in a new location.
We hope you will enjoy these improvements to your local neighbourhood.

In 2016, Council sought ideas and feedback from the community for a new playspace in Murumba Drive, Oakleigh South. We want to make this a fun and engaging place.
Some of the community ideas were incorporated into a draft concept plan. Local residents were invited to provide feedback by 30 November 2016.
