A new playspace has opened at Murumba Drive Reserve, Oakleigh South.
Here is the final concept plan for the playspace:

To come up with the concept plan, Council asked for the community's ideas. These suggestions were included in the final design.
The key play elements to be installed are:
- Double swing set
- Play fort with junior slide
- Climbing cube
- Basket swing for children of all abilities and group play
- Rock scramble
- Log balance steppers
- Carved timber log.
The existing ball court will be retained. Other elements of the project will include:
- Installing a connective concrete pathway
- Planting more trees and other vegetation
- Installing a picnic table and bench seating
- Re-installation of the existing monkey bars in a new location.

Background
In 2016, Council sought ideas and feedback from the community for a new playspace in Murumba Drive, Oakleigh South.
Some of the community ideas were incorporated into a draft concept plan. Local residents were invited to provide feedback by 30 November 2016.
