Breaking news: Stage 3 restrictions from 11.59pm 8 July

The State Government has announced the reintroduction of Stage 3 "Stay at Home" COVID-19 restrictions for all Local Government Areas in Melbourne, including Monash, and Mitchell Shire from 11.59pm on 8 July.  The restrictions are expected to last six weeks.

The Stage 3 restrictions will require the closure of a number of Council facilities to the public including:

  • Libraries - Visit our library website to find out more about our online services. You can view our storytime videos, find out about ebooks and streaming services.
  • Monash Gallery of Art - try our online shop at Monash Gallery of Art (MGA)
  • Aquatic and Recreation Centres (MARC, CAC, ORC) - find out more about our online fitness and yoga classes at Active Monash
  • Playgrounds
  • Skate parks and community basketball courts
  • Bouldering walls
  • Outdoor fitness stations
  • Sports pavilions
