Aquatics coronavirus update

The State Government has released its road map for the phasing out of COVID-19 restrictions. 

The road map outlines the phased easing of restrictions on condition of the daily cases being at a certain level.

The government has further extended the current Stage 4 restrictions that are already in place until 13 September for a further two weeks.

From 13 September (when the two week extension starts) there are several changes to the Stage 4 restrictions currently in place:

  • The Curfew will be reduced by an hour, starting at 9pm – 5am
  • Public gatherings: increased to 2 people or a household that can meet outdoors for two hours maximum
  • Visitors to the home: increased to 1 nominated visitor if living alone/single parent (all children under 18) (in a ‘single social bubble’) 
  • professional respite care for people with complex needs allowed.
  • Exercise: outdoors, increased by one hour to  up to two hours per day total, split into a maximum of two sessions

  • Outdoor playspaces open.

All other Council facilities: libraries, aquatic and recreation centres, and services centres remain closed to the public but offering customer service online and via phone. The Waste Transfer Station continues to be open for limited hours only to tradespersons.
