Changes to immunisation and maternal child health services

 23 March 2020

During this time of unprecedented challenges due to the Coronavirus we have plans in place to ensure the ongoing delivery of essential services, including immunisation.

It is imperative for families to continue their child’s immunisation schedule.

From 23 March all community immunisation sessions will need to be booked online (this is already the process for evening sessions) so we can reduce the number of people congregating in one space.

Book online: Trybooking - Monash Immunisation Sessions.

We are currently awaiting arrival of our Flu stock from Government supplies. Once this becomes available we will be running designated Flu Immunisation sessions for community members. The flu vaccines will cost $15.00 for non-eligible persons to be paid on the day via EFTPOS/Credit Card.

If you have more than one child/person to be immunised you will need to book separate appointments, ideally one after another.

We are also asking that just 1 adult accompanies their child/children to the immunisation session. Please do not bring extended family/carers to these sessions.

You’ll notice that our immunisation nurses will be wearing protective items like plastic aprons and eye protectors. This is to protect staff and our community from the spread of the virus.

For any questions please contact our immunisation team on 9518 3534 or email immunisation@monash.vic.gov.au or the Maternal Child Health central booking number on 9518 3662.
