Victoria will further ease its COVIDSafe restrictions including changes to wearing mask and visitor numbers in the home.
From 26 March, face masks are no longer required to be worn in shops but you will still need to carry one with you at all times.
Face masks are required on public transport, in rideshare vehicles and taxis and in sensitive settings such as hospitals and aged care facilities.
100 people can visit private homes at any one time (babies under 12 months are not included in the cap). Outdoor gatherings in public places, such as reserves and parks, can increase to 200 people.
What remains in place?
- 1.5 metre physical distancing
- good hand hygiene
- carry a mask at all times
- check in using a QR code or hard copy register when visiting any business, cafe, restaurant, cinema, gym, community centre or place of worship.
If you have even the mildest of symptoms you must get tested and stay at home until you get your results. Find testing sites near you at the Department of Health.
