Huntingdale Station car park in Railway Avenue to close for upgrade works

Huntingdale Station  is being upgraded with a new bus interchanges and ramp and stair facilities.

Public Transport Victoria advises that from Monday 27 November until March 2018, the Railway Avenue car park (adjacent to Huntingdale Station) will be closed to allow for the works to be carried out.

The works will include:

  • a new 'kiss and ride' and taxi area
  • improved accessibility and waiting facilities for passengers
  • upgrades to lighting
  • asphalting and proper line marking of the 'tear-drop' car park off North Road.

The ramp access to the station from Huntingdale Road will remain open however the parkiteer cage will close, and temporary bicycle hoops will be installed.

Car parking will be available in the existing station car parks on Haughton and North roads, and in the new station car park on Huntingdale Road.

Disability permit parking will be relocated to the other side of the North Road overpass.

Public Transport Victoria advises that the works will take place between 7am and 5pm Monday to Friday with some weekend and night works required, and residents will be notified when night and weekend works are taking place.
