This Girl Can is a VicHealth initiative is dedicated to encouraging more women and girls to give physical activity a go, or return to activity after a break, whether it’s walk in the park, a gym session, a run, a swim or a game of netball with friends. The campaign is about empowering women to feel comfortable in their bodies and in public spaces – regardless of their ability, how they look or how sweaty they get.
The inaugural This Girl Can Week runs from 18-24 March. There’s lots of opportunities in Monash for women and girls to get active. Visit our website for more info on getting active in Monash.

Act!ve Women is a women’s only swim program. During these fortnightly sessions the pool is supervised by female staff and entry includes access to private heated indoor pool and spa. Sessions provide a great opportunity to socially connect with others and have fun in a safe, private environment.
Sports clubs and other industry bodies in Monash can also get involved. If you help out at your club, check out this free guide on how to create more welcoming environments. It includes tips on how you can start to engage more women in your sport or activity.
