Planning Scheme

The Monash Planning Scheme

Planning schemes are created by the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP), and are made up of both maps and the ordinances. The ordinances are the policies and written clauses and the maps depict where the zones and overlays apply within the planning scheme area.

Please visit DELWP website to read all details, as they will affect the design of all planning projects in Monash: DELWP website (Monash Planning Scheme).

For information related to the planning permit process and other topics such as heritage, VicSmart, Vegetation Protection Overlay and ResCode – please visit the Planning section.
