COVIDSafe Workplaces

As part of plans to support industry to safely reopen, the Victorian Government has developed a COVIDSafe Plan (pdf, 721KB) to reduce the risk of introduction and spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the workplace.

There are 6 principles to follow to ensure a COVIDSafe workplace:

  • ensure physical distancing of 1.5 metres apart for workers and visitors
  • ensure all workers and visitors wear a face mask
  • practice good hygiene, frequently and regularly clean and disinfect shared spaces and wash hands regularly
  • keep records of all people who enter the workplace to ensure accurate contact tracing and act quickly if any workers develop symptoms
  • avoid interactions in enclosed spaces, meet outdoors as much as possible and when indoors, open windows and doors to allow airflow
  • create workforce bubbles, keep the same workers rostered on the same shifts and ensure there is no overlap of workers during shift changes

View the information below to assist in meeting these requirements, and what to do if your staff are unwell or test positive.
