MCH visit 5: 4 months old

All family members are welcome at your maternal and child health (MCH) appointments. Please remember to bring your green book and nappy bag!

What happens at my 4-month visit?

At your 4-month visit, your family and MCH nurse will cover: 

  • A physical, growth and developmental check for your baby, including weighing and the PEDS-R questionnaire. 
  • Feeding and starting solid foods
  • Safe sleeping recommendations, sleep area and your 4-month and 6-month immunisations
  • How you and your family are feeling, and where to find support if needed. 
  • Where to find more information, including on starting solids. Links below

Next visit: 8 months old.

Please note there is no video recording or photography at MCH appointments.
