Current Council services
Council services have changed due to the current COVID-19 restrictions easing from midnight 10 June 2021.
From Tuesday 15 June, the customer service counters at the Monash Civic Centre and the Oakleigh Service Centre are open from 10am until 2pm, until further notice.
Enquiries can also be made to our team online or by phone.
Our immunisation and Maternal and Child Health services continue as does in-home support for our elderly clients.
Our Monash Public Library Service branches are open from Friday 11 June with density quotients and limited numbers allowed. All visitors are required to check in using the QR code. There may be delays due to the limited numbers allowed inside at any one time.
Halls and Community Centres are open but with density quotients and limits on people allowed at any one time.
Indoor aquatic and recreation facilities remain closed.
The Waste Transfer Station will open from Friday 11 June to both households and commercial trades.
The WTS will also return to opening on Sundays (starting from 13 June) and on public holidays (Monday 14 June) from 7.30am – 3pm.
The waste collection service continues as normal.
All visitors to our facilities must observe COVIDSafe requirements.
All visitors must observe the 1.5m physical distancing.
All visitors are required to check in to our centres and facilities using the QR system for contact tracing purposes.
Checking in is a requirement of service, in line with State Government requirements and our COVIDSafe Plan.
Please observe the following requirements when you visit to keep yourself and our staff safe and well:
- Use the hand sanitising station as you enter and exit the building
- Wear a mask
- Observe the 1.5 metre social distancing requirements, including when you are talking to our customer service staff. Do not move up to the service counter
- Have all your documents ready to lessen the length of your visit.
If you are exhibiting any symptoms that could be COVID-19 such as a cold, runny nose, headache, cough or fever do not visit our premises. Follow the Chief Health Officer's advice and get tested and remain home until you receive a negative test result.
Waste Transfer Station
Open to households and commercial trades from 7.30am until 3pm, Monday to Sunday (including public holidays).
Please remain in your vehicle and if you need to leave the vehicle, you must observe a 1.5 metre distance from everyone.
We strongly encourage the use of contactless card transactions.
Do NOT visit any of our facilities if:
- you have symptoms of respiratory disease (cough, sore throat, shortness of breath)
- have been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the 14 days prior to your visit.

Kerbside bin collection and Hard Waste Collection
There are no interruptions to our kerbside bin or hard waste collection.
You can still keep up with what's happening at Council meetings by watching via our livestreaming service at webcast.monash.vic.gov.au
Public questions can be sent to Council by 2pm on the day of the meeting. The Mayor will act as the representative in reading out questions and providing a response over the livestream. A written response will also be provided.
Under current restrictions you cannot attend Council meetings in person.

All community immunisation sessions need to be booked online at Trybooking - Monash Immunisation Sessions.
We are also asking that just 1 adult accompanies their child/children to the immunisation session. Please do not bring extended family/carers to these sessions.
