A number of essential Council services remain open and operating however some services and facilities have been closed in line with the latest government advice regarding the Coronavirus/COVId-19 pandemic.
Customer Service Centres
Our service centres at the Monash Civic Centre (293 Springvale Road, Glen Waverley) and the Oakleigh Service Centre (3 Atherton Road, Oakleigh) remain open but with changed hours - 10am until 4pm - and social distancing measures in place.
When you visit our centres you will be greeted by a Concierge who will assist with your request. Please stay behind the barriers that are in place. We have limited each transaction with staff to 15 minutes maximum so be ready with your documents and information.
Where possible we encourage you to seek our assistance by phone, email, video conference and online at:
Phone: 9518 3555
Online: www.monash.vic.gov.au (webchat)
Waste Transfer Station operating hours
The Monash Waste Transfer Station, 380 Ferntree Gully Road Notting Hill is open from 7.30am to 3pm, 7 days.
Please observe social distancing guidelines when around staff and other customers. Where possible, we strongly encourage the use of contactless card transactions. These measures are to limit the chance of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) infection.
There are also some changes to our kerbside collection (waste, recycling and green waste bins) service. In order for our contractor Solo Resource Recovery to maintain adequate social distancing for employees, they have commenced staggered operating times. This means the collection period will take place over a longer period of the day, with some bins being collected earlier or later than usual.
Place your bins out the night before your collection and make sure the bin is not overfilled and the lid is closed.
For more information phone our Customer Service Team on 9518 3555.
