Oakleigh Historical Walk (Walking Track)

The Oakleigh Historical Walk allows for a leisurely walk through Oakleigh’s residential neighbourhood taking in the rich history and culture of the Oakleigh activity centre.

Along your walk is Oakleigh’s ‘Avenue of Honour’ in memory of resident’s war service, the old Oakleigh Shire Offices and the Mechanics Institute.
Why not discover the oldest grave stone in the Oakleigh Memorial Park? Or find the commemorative stone of the first settlement in Oakleigh. It is also the site of the first licensed premise- but we’ll let you find out what it is called.

Atherton Road has an array of continental cafes, fresh food suppliers and specialty shops just waiting for you to check out.
