The City of Monash Australia Day celebrations will take place at the Monash Civic Centre on the Australia Day Public Holiday.
Australia Day will begin with a Flag Raising Ceremony, Welcome to Country by Wurundjeri Elder Ian Hunter and an address by Australia Day Ambassador Ms Marion Lau, followed by a special Citizenship Ceremony.
- 10am: Citizenship Ceremony
- 11am-3pm: Family Day
After official proceedings head to the Glen Waverley Library forecourt where River Chinese Band will be performing fine music with a group of bow musicians, followed by classic Broadway tunes sung by Angela Lumicisi.
Monash favourite Bethany Fisher will also appear on stage, accompanied by dancers.
The Ashwood Lions Club will prepare a delicious FREE bush tucker barbecue and children can enjoy face painting and fun activities.

Australia Day events at the Civic Centre and Library Forecourt will require some changed car parking conditions that will take effect from 5pm on Thursday 25 January.
- Thursday 25 January, from 5pm
Car park, including the bays adjacent to the library and IBIS building, will be closed to the public
- Friday 26 January, 7am-3pm
Car park will be closed to the public
