Monash residents are encouraged to attend local services to commemorate ANZAC Day.

People are encouraged to pay their respects for all Australians who served and died in war and operational service. These ceremonies are organised by local Returned Services League (RSL) branches:

Thursday 25 April at 6am:

  • The Cenotaph, Springvale Road (adjacent to Central Reserve), Glen Waverley

Dawn Service followed by a traditional Gunfire Breakfast served at the Waverley RSL Sub-Branch. Gold coin donation appreciated.

Thursday 25 April at 6am:

  • Dawn Service Cenotaph in the Remembrance Gardens (246 Clayton Rd, Clayton)

A dawn service will take place at the Clayton Cenotaph at 6am, Australian Defence Force members will be present for the Catafalque Party and there will be a guest speaker.

Thursday 25 April at 6am:

  • The Cenotaph, Cnr Drummond St and Atherton Roads, Oakleigh

The Oakleigh Carnegie RSL Sub-Branch will hold a Dawn Service at the Oakleigh Cenotaph.
Commencing at 6am, the service will include a Guard of Honour by the Australian Great War Association, who will also conduct a Gun Salute at the conclusion of the service.

    Watch a Fly Pass by RAAF Williams Museum, Point Cook. Gather on the Oval next to the Oakleigh Carnegie RSL as this will provide the best view.
