Commemorations for ANZAC Day will look different this year due to COVID-19, however some services will be held in Monash on Sunday 25 April.
People are encouraged to pay their respects for all Australians who served and died in war and operational service. These ceremonies are organised by local Returned Services League (RSL) branches:
Sunday 25 April at 6am:
- Dawn Service organsed by the Waverley RSL at The Cenotaph, Springvale Road (adjacent to Central Reserve), Glen Waverley
All members of the community are invited to attend, however attendees are reminded to practise social distancing from other groups at all times and to not attend if unwell or isolating.
For more information: Waverley RSL Commermorative Services
Sunday 25 April at 10.30am:
- Commermorative Service organised by the Oakleigh Carnegie RSL at Memorial Hall, 95-97 Drummond St, Oakleigh
This is a ticketed event only and requests for a ticket must be emailed to email@example.com
Monash residents can also share their show of remembrance from home by taking part in #lightupthedawn on social media, while observing the traditional minute's silence from their driveways, front yards or balconies.
The traditional State Dawn Service and Commemorative Services will also be held with smaller numbers in partnership with the Shrine of Remembrance, and live streamed for all Victorians to watch from 5.40am on ANZAC Day at: www.shrine.org.au/anzac-day-2021
