'Mazi' Greek peer support groups for carers

11 February 2019 | 10:30AM to 12:00PM

Pronia's Greek Palliative Care program 'Mazi' (Together) invites carers of people living with chronic, life-limiting illnesses to peer support groups aiming to:

  • Inform the Greek community about Palliative Care, especially the carers of people who live with a life-threatening illness.

  • Raise awareness within the Greek community of issues related to the experience of death and normalise this concept as an important part of life.

  • Promote the improvement of the quality of life of Greek carers and loved ones living with incurable or chronic diseases.

The topics discussed in the monthly meetings will be tailored to the needs and interests of the Greek carers and will follow culturally responsive practices.

For carers’ registrations to the groups and more information about the program, please contact Pronia’s Community Educator Officers - Anton Anagnostou – Thursdays and Fridays 9am – 4pm or Adonis Maglis Wednesdays 9 – 4pm on 9388 9998
