Remembrance Day flowers

This year 11 November marks the 100th anniversary of the Armistice that ended the First World War (1914-1918).

Each year on this day Australians observe one minute’s silence at 11am, in memory of those who died or suffered in all wars and armed conflicts.

People are welcome to attend the following ceremonies being held in Monash:

  • Clayton RSL Sub-Branch (Cnr Cornish Rd and Kanooka Rd, Clayton)
    Sunday 11 November, 10.30am. Organised by the Clayton RSL
  • Warrawee Park Cenotaph (cnr Drummond St and Atherton Rd, Oakleigh)
    Sunday 11 November, 10.30am. Organised by the Oakleigh Carnegie RSL

Please note: This year the Remembrance Day Service organised by the Waverley RSL at the Glen Waverley Cenotaph will not be proceeding. The RSL is encouraging people to attend the State Service held at the Springvale Cenotaph.
