The Cars That Made Monash

18 October 2017 | 06:30PM to 08:00PM

This is History Monash Inc.'s first major event to support History Week 2017.  We are proud to present the well-known urban historian Prof. Davison from Monash University and it promises to be a great night.

Only 80 seats available so register if you can and bring some friends - this is going to be interesting for the whole community, not just local historians, car lovers and suburbanites who grew up in Monash!  Motels, drive-in movies, shopping, freeways, cost of auto freedom and the rise of the woman driver not to mention the cars themselves from Austins to Dodges to the FJ Holden and beyond.

Hope to have some historic cars there as well.

We'll have tea and coffee available.

Enter at the rear of the building with car parking next to the Oakleigh Pioneer memorial park and only 250m from Oakleigh bus and rail station.

A $5 donation per head will be welcome - to help preserve our historic collection for future generations.
