The Alexander Aged Care Centre is a boutique facility that provides quality aged care accommodation for individuals and couples. Based in Clayton VIC, our trained, qualified and experienced team aim to deliver the best for our residents while also helping their loved ones.
All of our residents are treated with care, respect and privacy while we make them feel at home. A registered nurse is available onsite, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. We provide special care for those experiencing memory loss or Alzheimer’s disease. Respite Care and Palliative Care options are also available.
Our retirement centre is accredited to contain 90 beds. All of our rooms are decorated elegantly with high quality fittings and furniture. Couples are welcome and our facility includes multiple double rooms.
Fresh and nutritious meals are on the menu at The Alexander. Our experienced chefs cook onsite, with meal plans developed with expert advice from our dietitian. We have a four week rotating menu. Alongside that, special dietary requirements and food preferences are always taken into consideration.
Regular activities and outings (when appropriate) provide our residents with an interesting, active and fulfilling lifestyle. Our activities include and are not limited to: cooking classes, exercise groups, cultural programs, international days, bingo, arts and crafts, painting classes, church services, concerts, entertainers, high tea, films, gardening, men’s groups, pampering sessions, active mind programs, walking groups and even more.
We have a local pet resident too. Abby, our labradoodle, is a core member of The Alexander family. She enjoys visiting our residents daily and occasionally takes part in our activities. She was bred specifically as a therapy dog and has a very gentle nature.
We have phone reception available 24/7 to serve our residents and their loved ones. Our general office hours are 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday. To get to us, we’re only one minute to the bus, six minutes to the train, eight minutes to Chadstone and 30 minutes to the Melbourne city CBD.
