Health and Wellbeing Partnership Plan 2013-2017

The Monash Health and Wellbeing Partnership Plan 2013-2017 captures the health and wellbeing needs of the Monash community over the next four years.

Council has an important role to play in supporting the health and wellbeing of our residents and looks forward to making a positive difference.

The Plan recognises that health is everyone's business and highlights the importance of working in partnership across Council and with Council's regional health partners, to maximise opportunities for all members of the Monash community to lead healthy and fulfilling lives.

The three key priority areas and the corresponding health and wellbeing issues are:

Active and Healthy Monash:

  • Physical Activity
  • Healthy Eating
  • Preventing Harm from Tobacco & Alcohol

Engaged, Confident and Connected Monash:

  • Positive Mental Health
  • Resilience to Harm from Gambling
  • Social Inclusion and Fostering Diversity

A Safe and Respectful Monash:

  • Preventing Violence against Women
  • Community Safety
  • Addressing Race-based Discrimination
