When we collect your recycling

recycling education

Recycling bins and green waste bins are emptied on alternate weeks on the same day as the red lid rubbish bins are emptied.

On public holidays, bins will be collected as normal.

To find out the dates when your bins will be collected please enter your address at My Neighbourhood.

You will be able to find services and information specifically for your area, including bin collection dates and annual hard waste collections.

Alternatively, you can view which days your recycling bin will be collected by opening this calendar:

Waste Collection Calendar: January - June 2020 (pdf, 157KB)

Waste Collection Calendar: July 2020 - June 2021 (Area A) (pdf, 397KB)

Waste Collection Calendar: July 2020 - June 2021 (Area B) (pdf, 397KB)

Find out how to place your bins to help ensure your bins are emptied correctly.

Put your bin out the night before so its ready when the collectors come, and bring your bin back the day of collection.

  • Don’t squash things into bins - this can prevent the bin being emptied
  • Bins that are too heavy can’t be lifted by the truck - maximum lifting weight is 72kg
  • Don’t overfill your bin. Lids must be closed to prevent spills.
