Chinmayi, a Year 12 student at Brentwood Secondary College in Glen Waverley, has been an active member of the school’s award-winning sustainability group - the Brentwood Green Team - since Year 7, working on that team’s many waste and sustainability projects, including tree planting and clean-up days.
Chinmayi has also been involved in several programs aimed at the reduction of the school’s power usage as well as the design and construction of a solar-powered car.
And, as part of a team of 5, she helped create an interactive model of a fashion app aimed at preventing the waste created by purchasing clothes and going to landfill.
