Why wasn't my hard waste item collected?

Different items may be collected on different days during the week. Some items collected by the same truck will be sorted at the facility.

Items will be left behind if:

  • It's an item we can't collect.
  • It isn't prepared correctly.

If this happens:

  • You'll receive a notice in your letterbox.
  • You must remove items within 24 hours. Fines may apply

If accepted items haven't been collected by the end of your collection week, call 03 9518 3555

Reduce your hard waste

Before putting out items, consider if they can be repaired, sold or donated.

Council offers a range of free sustainability events for the community such as our repair cafés and The Great Clothing Exchange.
