Businesses in Monash can arrange a commercial waste collection service through the Council.
To apply, you must be the ratepayer of the commercial property.
The standard Council commercial waste service includes:
- 1 x 240 litre landfill bin (red lid), collected fortnightly
- 1 x 240 litre recycling bin (yellow lid), collected fortnightly
You can request a maximum of 1 additional landfill bin and 1 additional recycling bin for an annual fee.
When are bins collected?
Collections are on alternating weeks, for example:
- Week 1: landfill bin collected
- Week 2: recycling bin collected
- Week 3: landfill bin collected
- Week 4: recycling bin collected

Can I just get a landfill bin?
No, a recycling bin is part of the standard waste collection for commercial properties.
Can my business order a food and garden waste bin?
In some circumstances, a 240L food and garden waste bin may be available after assessment to ensure this is suitable for your property. Our team will investigate the need for a food and garden waste bin, as well as available space and access for collection trucks.

Can I have more than one additional bin?
No, there is a maximum of 1 additional landfill bin and 1 additional recycling bin.
What if Council's service doesn't meet my needs?
