Community Safety Register
The Monash Community Safety Register is a free program for older adults and those with a disability where you can receive regular friendly phone calls from multilingual volunteers (English, Chinese, Italian, Greek, Arabic and Hindi).
Members can receive a regular phone call to discuss ways to feel safe and what assistance is available in a crisis or emergency.
This program is administered by South East Volunteers and supported by Monash Council and Victoria Police.
Eligibility criteria
- Reside in the City of Monash.
- Aged 50 or older, or have a disability (regardless of age).
- No restrictions based on pension or residential status.
- Ability to communicate over the phone is essential.
