Local community groups can book a billboard site for free to promote events in Monash.
Events must be for educational, cultural, political, religious, social, charitable or recreational purposes.
Eligibility
You can apply if:
- your organisation is based in the City of Monash and
- you're promoting a local event relevant to the Monash community.
Eligible organisations can make 2 bookings a year. Each booking can include:
- 1 billboard site
- for up to 2 weeks.
We can't guarantee your preferred locations or dates will be available when you apply. Council events may be given priority access to billboard sites if required.

You can request 1 of these billboard sites:
- Springvale Road and Waverley Road, Glen Waverley. View on map
- Stephensons Road and High Street Road, Mt Waverley. View on map
- Huntingdale Road and High Street Road, Mt Waverley. View on map
If your preferred location isn't available, we will offer an alternative site if possible.
Content rules
You can only promote community events. Commercial advertising is not allowed.
If your event has sponsors:
- you can include their name and logo
- you cannot include their address and telephone number
- their branding cannot dominate your sign.
Size and technical specs
Your billboard must be:
- no larger than 2 metres x 2 metres
- securely mounted to the posts provided
- unlit and static (no lights or animation)
- removed by the approved date.
If you don't remove your billboard within 2 days of your booking ending, we will impound it. You will have to pay a fee to get it back.
It takes up to 1 week to review an application.

How we assess applications
We'll assess your application based on:
- whether your organisation and event are eligible
- whether your billboard meets the requirements
- availability of the requested location and dates
- previous bookings and applicable booking limits.
Successful applications
We'll email or send you a letter if your application is approved and to confirm your booking dates and location.
