Monash Council's Procurement policy complies with the Local Government Act 2020.

The Procurement policy encompasses the principles, processes and procedures applicable to Council's procurement of all goods, services and works.

The aim of Council's procurement policy is to ensure all procurement:

  • is conducted in an impartial, fair and ethical manner addressing probity standards
  • considers the impact on the community and the environment
  • achieves value for money and quality
  • can demonstrate that public money has been well spent
  • is conducted in a consistent manner in alignment with best practice guidelines
