Cycling, bike trails, repair stations and bike path upgrades

Council maintains a number of cycling tracks in the near 120 parks and reserves in the region, and is upgrading existing paths to meet modern standards.

Dog poo bag dispensers and drinking fountains

To make it easier for people to pick up after their dogs, there are dog poo bag dispensers in local parks and reserves. There are also fountains with separate drinking areas for people and for dogs.

Gardiners Reserve modular change rooms

Council has installed portable change rooms at Gardiners Reserve (Burwood).

Gladeswood Reserve baseball facilities upgrade

Council has completed a $357,000 upgrade of the playing field and baseball facilities at Gladeswood Reserve, Mulgrave

Glenburn Tennis Club court reconstruction

We’re upgrading 6 synthetic grass tennis courts at the Glenburn Tennis Club in Glen Waverley, as part of works aimed at helping improve infrastructure at the club.

Holmesglen/Jingella Reserve sportsground surface upgrade

Council has upgraded Holmesglen/Jingella Reserve (Ashwood) to improve the playing surface of the rugby pitch.

Jack Edwards Reserve Pavilion/Grandstand Redevelopment

We’re building a new facility that will feature a 500-seat undercover grandstand and National Premier League standard facilities that will help grow football programs, including those for women’s and girls' teams.

Monash Tennis Centre - Glen Waverley Sports Hub

The Monash Tennis Centre features a regional level tennis facility with 18 courts, including 2 show courts, golf practice facilities, public open space improvements, car parking, a pavilion, cafe and supporting infrastructure.

Upgrade to Central Reserve Grandstand

Exciting changes have been made to Central Reserve, with an upgrade of the 50-year-old grandstand and a new space created for an Artisan Hub for the Waverley Wood Workers and Waverley Gem Club.
