Ashwood High School netball courts

We’re undertaking improvement works at the Ashwood High School Netball Courts, including the construction of tiered seating, an umpire breakout area and landscape improvement works.

The works will significantly improve the experience for both spectators and umpires while contributing to a safer, more inclusive and enjoyable netball environment.

The project will be delivered by Monash Council, with funding support from the Victorian Government and the Waverley District Netball Association.

What we’ll be doing

The project will include:

  • Construction of concrete tiered seating along the sloped grass hill between the upper and lower courts.
  • Construction of two (2) 6m x 12m spectator shelters positioned at the top of the tiered seating.
  • Replacement of the chain mesh fencing between the two court banks.
  • Construction of a new shelter between the netball pavilion and amenities building
  • Landscaping and planting to improve the visual appeal of the area.

Possible impacts

  • The four lower netball courts will not be accessible until the end of January 2026.
  • Construction vehicles will access the site via nearby streets. To minimise disruptions, material deliveries will be restricted to outside busy school pick-up and drop-off times.
  • The work site will be securely fenced to ensure the safety of the community.
  • Measures will be taken to minimise dust and disruption to local residents.
