Project budget: $9.3million, including a $7million commitment from the Australian Government, $2.2million from Council and $100,000 from the tenant clubs.
The Mount Waverley Reserve Masterplan has been developed to increase opportunities for physical activity by upgrading and improving the provision of infrastructure for active recreation and play.
A program of works started in November 2023 and has included:
- Sportsground redevelopment, flood lighting and perimeter pathway (completed June 2024)
- Playspace upgrade (completed June 2024)
- New cricket practice facilities and maintenance shed (completed May 2025)
- Pavilion redevelopment (scheduled for completion July 2025)
- New public toilet - installed and awaiting a necessary power upgrade before it can be opened to the public (once operational, the old public toilet will be demolished).
- New carpark - designs completed and about to go out for tender for construction (scheduled for completion January 2026)
