A brief history of Kooyong Koot (Gardiner's Creek catchment)
The Friends of Damper Creek Conservation Reserve invite you our quarterly general meeting to hear our guest speaker Dr Gary Presland speak about the history of Kooyong Koot.
Gardiners Creek, aka Kooyong Koot, represents the prime example in Melbourne of all of the various ways in which an urban stream can be treated. Dr Presland will contrast the uses to which the stream has been put by Europeans since 1835, with the ways it was considered and used in the Indigenous world of the Kulin.
