Be an 'egg-spert' recycler this Easter
Published on 09 April 2020
Be an “egg-spert” recycler this Easter and know how to recycle the packaging from your Easter treats:
- Cardboard boxes can go in your recycling bin; there’s no need to remove stickers or labels.
- Hard plastics – like Easter egg trays and containers – can go in your recycling bin.
- Soft plastics – like plastic bags and chocolate wrappers – cannot go in your recycling bin; take them back to Coles or Woolworths for recycling. Tip: if you can easily scrunch the plastic into a ball in your hands, it’s soft plastic.
- Foil wrappers can go in your recycling bin; collect all the wrappers and scrunch into a golf-size ball before popping them in your recycling bin.
